When to use a Rotary Phase Converter?

All you will need a 230VAC, 3-Phase Motor minimum 50% bigger  than the HP of the Motor you want to run. With the DIY-KIT can make your own "3-Phase Generator" which will give 3-Phase FULL power, the 3rd Phase will be +/-15% higher without load.

You can run 3-Phase:
A/C units, Compressors, Water Pumps, Radio Transmiters, etc. Always verify the appliction and the Motor's brand. Some Chines, Taiwanes and Brazilian made Motors will need 3 times the size of the Motor you 'll need as Generator due the low Effieciency of those motors which will need 8 to 12 times the nameplate current.
